APICS becomes ASCM — Association for Supply Chain Management
APICS is a non-profit association, the leading source of knowledge in end-to-end Supply Chain Management.
With 45,000 members worldwide, its certification courses cover all operations: from the supplier’s suppliers to the customer’s clients.
APICS certification programs are the international standard. They validate the skills of professionals in Supply Chain Management operations management, production and inventory management.
In addition, its programs are designed by professionals and are aimed at professionals. They are based on international best practices and are applicable to all types of companies and industries and all sizes. Finally, they are updated every year.
APICS has created a new structure in 2019: the ASCM- Association for Supply Chain Management.
ASCM provides online training and tools to assess the maturity of logistics processes.
The association wants to be a vector of innovation in the field by proposing new services or products and partnerships.
The goal of the ASCM
ASCM encourages manufacturers to optimize their supply chains, secure their competitive advantage, and thereby impact their bottom line.
ASCM training courses have been expanded to meet the challenges and changes:
- CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management),
- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional),
- CLTD (Certified in Logistics),
- Transportation and Distribution,
- SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Refence Model)
- DDMRP with Demand Driven Institute (DDI), …
The French association Aslog, already a partner of APICS, is naturally part of the new ecosystem, as are the CLFP (China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing) and the American Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AIAI).
